Belgian recorder virtuoso, Bart Spanhove is a founding member of the world-renowned Flanders Recorder Quartet, with whom he has recorded 24 CDs and given more than 2500 concerts in over 50 countries during the group’s 30 year career.  “Echoes in the Mirror” is his debut solo recital in the US.  This perfectly balanced program – conceived as a sort of musical palindrome – centers on the music of Bach and Telemann, in addition to music originating in England and Italy from the Renaissance and Baroque eras.  The performance will feature a range of sizes and styles of recorders, each sure to beguile and captivate with their different characters.
