SPECIAL CHAMBER MUSIC -MOTHER'S DAY - MAY 12th 3 PM All are invited to enjoy some special Chamber Music l on Mother's Day, May 12th at 3:00. at 107 South/Main Street at First Presbyterian Church of Port Jefferson. Musicians from the U.S. Coast Guard Band, the Juilliard School, Stony Brook University, and Carnegie Hall's Ensemble Connect will present an hour-long program of chamber music from the turn of the 20th century. This program of bright and uplifting music will surely leave you in a cheerful spring mood! Free event.

Please join us on Saturday May 4th for an evening of Music on the Sound! Belgian recorder virtuoso, Bart Spanhove is a founding member of the world-renowned Flanders Recorder Quartet, with whom he has recorded 24 CDs and given more than 2500 concerts in over 50 countries during the group's 30 year career. “Echoes in the Mirror” is his debut solo recital in the US. This perfectly balanced program – conceived as a sort of musical palindrome - centers on the music of Bach and Telemann, in addition to music originating in England and Italy from the Renaissance and Baroque eras. The performance will feature a range of sizes and styles of recorders, each sure to beguile and captivate with their different characters. Suggested Donation: $20 Reception following the performance.
