For the past few months, I have been working closely with Session and the Buildings & Grounds Committee on my Eagle Project. My Eagle Project is to select a new church sign to replace the white one in the front of the church, have it installed, build a stone border around it, and then fill it with shrubs and flowers. What I like about the new sign is that it will have space on it where we can put messages to let the community know about all of the special activities and events at our church. I will also be building two child-sized picnic tables for Noah’s Ark.
In order to raise the funds for this project, I am planning a Family Paint Night for October 14th in the Fellowship Hall at 6:30. All friends, grandparents, moms, dads and children are welcome. There will also be a special dessert table and even coffee for the adults. The cost will be $30 for adults and $25 for children. To sign up, you can fill out the form in the weekly church bulletin and give it to me during Coffee Hour or leave it with Donna in the church office. All checks should be made out to: Boy Scout Troop 354, Memo: PJP Sign.
There will be two paintings that you can make that evening. One is an eagle flying into the sunset and the other is a snowman (see reverse side). We are going to have terrific instructors who are so kind and helpful to guide us along. It is always amazing to me how different each person’s painting turns out. Hope you can join us. I’m really looking forward to it and I truly appreciate your help.
