Welcome to our Service of Darkness and the Promise of Christmas which is an observance of the other Christmas, where Christ is present in the darkness of our lives.  For many Christmastime is not a joyful one, but rather dark and painful, and it is into that reality that our savior was born – the poverty of a stable, facing homelessness as a refugee, fleeing violence, and not knowing what was to occur next.  Our savior welcomes all travelers of the dark night to this service.
