Please join us at 7:30 pm for the Service of Darkness and the Promise of Christmas. This Service is an observance of the other Christmas, where Christ is present in the darkness of our lives. For many Christmastime is not a joyful one, but rather dark and painful, and it is into that reality that our savior was born – the poverty of a stable, facing homelessness as a refugee, fleeing violence, and not knowing what was to occur next. Our savior welcomes all travelers of the dark night to tonight’s service.

Please join us on Wednesday, March 2nd for our Ash Wednesday Worship Service at 7pm. Ash Wednesday has increasingly become very important in the Church calendar as it emphasizes repentance, confession, and pardon. Presbyterians and others have begun to recover Ash Wednesday in recent years, discovering in it powerful symbols that have helped lead us into the spiritual disciplines of Lent. Traditionally the palms that we waved on Palm Sunday are burned to ashes and brought out for use on Ash Wednesday.
We will gather in Fellowship Hall at 11am and make a Resurrection Garden, led by Pastor Richard and Elder Jane Troncoso. Please sign up in the fellowship hall or call the church office at (631) 473-0147 or email email@example.com Sign up by March 1st.
